Grandma and Me

Birthday wishes today. This one is for my very dear Grandma. I got about as lucky as one can when it comes to having a Grandma like mine. I mean, all those things you normally associate when thinking up the perfect Grandma...mine is all of those things and more :)

My Grandma's kindness and love goes beyond the cookies and hugs, although she has plenty of those too and never runs out of either. She watches over everybody. When things aren't going well, you call Grandma. When things are going well, you call Grandma. When things just are, you call Grandma. We always call on Grandma...good or bad, sad or happy, big or small, and Grandma is there. Grandmas are moms with lots of frosting :) Sometimes you just need Grandma to make it better. And somehow, she always does make it better.

She has spoiled me since day one and still continues to. Whether it is making me something special, being my number one cheerleader for one my latest ideas or flying 17 hours across the world to visit me so I can be with family for a holiday in some foreign land, she'll do it.  As much as I cherish all my childhood memories with her, I'm holding onto the present ones just as much because with my age I have realized what an extraordinary woman and friend she has become to me.
